Would be great if we could create a predefined list that users can choose from when selecting project phases, rather than being able to free-type their own. Or at least have the option between a predefined list or free text field

both options a "pick list" and free type for those phases that you want to create that arent on the pick list and most likely wont ever use again

If it is a free text field, have a system parameter which allows "free text". In our environment, we would prefer that users *have* to pick from a list. That avoids (e.g.) typos and thus creating a "random" phase
