This report is a forecasting report which summarises stock controlled products that have a shortfall based on transactions starting and/or due within the selected period. Assuming your projects have accurate forecast materials and have been scheduled correctly, the report It allows you to set a date period that is advantageous for cashflow and raise purchase orders for all forecast materials you will require to complete those projects within that period.
To run the report, select the required end date or date range of the projects material forecasts, select the required order method which controls the order quantities. Review the results and click Order Selected Materials. New draft purchase orders will be created per default supplier with their associated products. The purchase orders are then processed as per your normal stock purchasing workflow.
Note: stock controlled products MUST have a default supplier set to appear in WorkGuru's purchasing automation functions.
- Start Date (Optional) - Set a start date for forecast projects.
- End Date - Include forecast materials from projects starting and/or due up to this date
- Supplier - Only show the shortage for a selected supplier.
- Order Method- Defines the quantity of the product to be purchased. Note: If you select the Minimum Order Quatity (MoQ) options and haven't assigned the product an MoQ in the product's details, the order quantity will default to 0.
- Greater of Minimum Order Quantity or Shortfall - Orders the larger of the shortfall or the products assigned MoQ. The minimum order quantity is defined in the product's details.
- Shortfall- Order the displayed shortfall quantity which the calculation of the displayed:
- Qty Required
- Current Stock on Hand
- Qty Incoming
- Qty Used on Transactions
- Qty Received on Transactions
- Minimum Order Quantity - Order the products MoQ. The minimum order quantity is defined in the product's details.
- Custom Quantity - Enter a custom order quantity for all shortfall products.
